If you’re looking to add items to your sidebars, you’ll want to do this from the Appearance > Widgets part of the WP admin, or if you’d like to create new sidebars, or overwrite existing ones on specific parts of your site, you’ll need to use the Appearance > Widget Areas section of the admin. Widget Areas is powered by Woo Sidebars so if you haven’t installed that plugin, you won’t see that menu item. For more information about using Woo Sidebars, consult their documentation here.
Cortex comes with several widgets, as well as adds some custom flare to the existing WordPress widgets so that they’ll match the overall look of the theme. You’ll have to assign them to the various sidebars that come pre-installed with WordPress, or you can create your own sidebars from within the Appearance > Widget Areas section of the admin after installing Woo Sidebars plugin from Woo Themes.
Did you just link a competitor theme company?
Yes, we did. Cause they made a great plugin and we like it. Respect.
