It’s easy to add images. If they’re JPGs, web-ready, and you’ve already picked your favorite one for the album cover, you can get albums uploaded and showing up on your site quickly and easily. That means no more 3 year gaps in posting photos either as blog posts, or as your best portfolio pieces. We made Cortex to highlight the best of your photography, all while making it easy to actually update your website with your most recent work.
Portfolios Page Template
If you’ve imported existing content from an existing demo, there’s a good chance you already have a portfolio page template setup on the site and you can skip this step. If not, you’ll have to create it from scratch following the steps below. The portfolios page template acts as an index for all of your photography portfolios, and has its own unique set of custom classes available to you on the page.
STEP ONE SELECT THE portfolios PAGE TEMPLATE
Wait a few seconds and you’ll see the custom fields come up.
STEP Two Portfolio Page settings
There’s just a few settings to choose from for your portfolio page. If you don’t like it, you can always build your own portfolio page using the Page Builder.
Featured Header Height – Select how much height of the browser viewport you’d like the hero to take up
Header Background – Upload an image to be used as the background. Wide-oriented images around 2000px high work best(As close to or under 200kb also) for single images, but you can also upload patterns, or choose a color.
Featured Header Overlay – Display an overlay in front of the featured header image so the main headline text is easier to read?
Portfolio Category – Would you like to limit the portfolios that show up on the page by a category?
Order By – How do you want to display Portfolios? Choices are Post ID, Title, Random, Manual, Published Date
